Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The Child Welfare Litigation Bureau of the Office of the Illinois Attorney General seeks candidates for the position of Senior Assistant Attorney General. The Child Welfare Litigation Bureau represents the Department of Children and Family Services and the Director in complex class action litigation, administrative review actions, and other litigation as assigned. Candidates must be licensed in Illinois at the time of application.
Candidates must have strong research and writing skills.
A minimum of five years of post-graduate legal experience is required. New graduates will not be considered.
Supplemental InformationCommensurate with qualifications and experience, the salary range is approximately $100,000 - $120,000 with the minimum five years of experience as a licensed attorney. Experience in federal civil rights litigation is preferred.
