Overview

The Epic Analyst III serves as a subject matter expert in Epic applications, leading system enhancements, troubleshooting complex issues, and advising stakeholders on best practices. This role involves greater independence in managing projects, implementing optimizations, and mentoring junior analysts.

Hybrid position with scheduled 3 days per month onsite in Springfield, IL.
Travel expenses are covered per company guidelines for non‑local employees.
You must reside in one of the approved states:
Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, or Wisconsin.

Qualifications
  • Epic certification in Healthy Planet and Compass Rose Clinical Build highly preferred
  • Epic certification in Healthy Planet and Compass Rose Analytics Build highly preferred
  • Epic certification in Healthy Planet Value‑Based Analytics Build highly preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Information Systems, Clinical Healthcare, or a related field (preferred)
  • Certification in two or more Epic modules (e.g., Epic Care Ambulatory, Willow, Orders, Epic Resolute, Epic Inpatient, Epic Ambulatory, OpTime, Radiant, Beaker, etc.) required within 1 year of hire
  • Five or more years of experience in Information Technology, including project management, advanced support management, or similar experience (required)
  • Advanced knowledge of Epic configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting (preferred)
  • Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Epic system design, configuration, and maintenance (preferred)
Responsibilities
  • Lead configuration, build, and maintenance of Epic applications to align with business needs
  • Responsible for system testing, issue resolution, and application troubleshooting
  • Optimize workflows to improve efficiency and user experience
  • Provide end‑user support, training, and documentation
  • Perform system demonstrations and training sessions for staff
  • Partner with clinical and operational teams to assess system needs and enhancements
  • Work closely with IT, project managers, and leadership to ensure successful system implementations
  • Monitor system performance, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and change management processes
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Meaningful Use requirements
  • Generate and analyze reports to provide insights into system usage and performance
  • Contribute to Epic‑related projects, ensuring timely delivery
  • Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and implement best practices
