Region Vice President, Human Resources

Our Client is seeking a dynamic Regional Vice President – Human Resources to join their senior leadership team and play a critical role in shaping the people strategy across multiple sites within the region. This is a high‑impact, strategic HR leadership role responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, talent development, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with regional leaders to implement strategic HR initiatives and drive talent development through coaching, training, mentoring, and growth assignments.
  • Lead succession planning efforts to identify and prepare high‑potential talent for broader leadership roles across the region.
  • Oversee the end‑to‑end performance management cycle, ensuring leaders are equipped to deliver meaningful evaluations and development feedback.
  • Manage employee relations matters, conduct investigations, address grievances, support disciplinary processes, and assist with negotiations in unionized environments.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies, providing expert guidance and consistent interpretation across sites.
  • Provide day‑to‑day direction to HR teams within the region, including proactive support, issue resolution, and leadership coaching.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration and lead regional training initiatives, including leadership development and compliance training.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience;
  • or a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 7 (preferably 10) years of strategic HR experience.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, HR operations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, consulting, problem‑solving, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel regionally 1–3 times per month.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred).
Preferred Certifications
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Additional Qualifications
  • Travel will occur to other sites within the region approximately 1 – 3 times per month.
