Job . Pay package is based on 10‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Posted title:
Operating Room Technician – OR Technologist – Travel.

• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set‑up for operations and passing items to doctors and nurses as needed.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures, including aseptic technique, setting up required equipment and sterile supplies, pulling cases as needed, and breaking down cases at the end of the procedure.
• Be knowledgeable regarding instrumentation, equipment and supply needs for all types of surgical procedures.
• Perform delegated duties consistent with scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery.
• Assist with moving and positioning of patient.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Confirm procedure with patient.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Meet technical skills as outlined in the checklist.

• Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience.
• Must hold NBSTSA or NCCT certification; additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop without difficulty, and lift 20 pounds; may lift up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients.
• Good skills for coping with stress and the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
