Travel Surgical Technologist – First Assistant (FA)

Contract- 13 Weeks

Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

40-Hour Guarantee | 13-Week Contract

On-Call: 5–6 call shifts per month (weekend call only)

We are seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist – First Assistant (FA) to join a high-performing Operating Room team. This role requires a skilled professional who can function at a competent level of technologist practice while supporting a multidisciplinary surgical team in both elective and emergency procedures.

• Function as a Surgical Technologist – First Assistant according to established standards of practice
• Provide direct patient care using a team-based, patient-focused approach
• Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures including emergency, elective, and scheduled cases
• Maintain sterile field and ensure compliance with surgical protocols
• Promote a caring and professional environment for patients and staff
• One designated team member per shift may be assigned to stay late if needed

• Minimum 2+ years of First Assistant experience – REQUIRED
• Strong proficiency in Orthopedics:
  Hip fractures, Arthroscopy, ORIFs, Shoulder scopes and replacements
• Proficiency in General Surgery, Vascular, GYN, Urology
• Certifications:
  
  Active BLS (AHA), Active NBSTSA or ABSA First Assistant Certification
