• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures, arranging and inventorying sterile set‑ups and passing items to doctors and nurses.
• Demonstrate aseptic technique: set up equipment and sterile supplies, pull cases as needed, and break down cases after procedures.
• Be knowledgeable regarding instrumentation, equipment and supply needs for all types of surgical procedures.
• Perform delegated duties within scope of practice and support overall care delivery plan.
• Assist with moving and positioning of patient.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Confirm procedure with patient.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Meet technical skills as outlined in the surgical team checklist.

• Minimum 2 years recent acute‑care surgical technician experience.
• NBSTSA Certification or NCCT Certification; BLS required.
• 3 years total experience (additional certifications may be required before assignment).
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, stoop for long periods and lift up to 20 pounds; occasional patient lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Strong stress‑management skills and ability to interact with diverse patients.

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend (amount to be determined).
