Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Cath Lab RN provides skilled nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures in a 5-room unit with an average daily census of 25. Responsibilities include circulating procedures, diagnostic catheterizations, and monitoring procedural sedation. The role requires on-call availability and the ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.

Springfield, Illinois, United States

Responsibilities:

- Circulate cardiac catheterization procedures
- Assist with diagnostic catheterizations (adult, left heart, right heart)
- Monitor Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
- Monitor procedural sedation
- Float within scope to meet facility needs

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license in IL
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Cardiac Cath lab experience

- Experience with Cerner charting system

- Experience with Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring

- Experience with Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias

Special Considerations:

- Will work 2-3 weekends per contract
- On-call required as needed
- RTO restrictions:
Ideally no more than 5 days
- Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without pay

- 3x12 hour day shifts )
