Occupational Therapist

Onward Search Education connects educators, therapists, and school professionals with schools nationwide. We’re partnering with a district in Cook County, IL, to hire a Elementary School Occupational Therapist for the 2025–2026 school year.

These roles involve supporting elementary students with fine motor and sensory needs in a collaborative school setting.

• Location: In-person, Cook County, IL
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:20 a.m. – 2:35 p.m.

• Provide occupational therapy services to support students’ fine motor and sensory processing skills.
• Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Collect and analyze data on student IEP goals and progress.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, support staff, families, and IEP teams.
• Complete fine motor and sensory profile evaluations and write detailed reports as needed.

• Illinois Professional Occupational Therapist License.
• Experience in a school-based setting preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple student needs and priorities effectively.
