Job Description
The Clinical Transformation Specialist is responsible for evaluating, developing and recommending clinical workflow processes to enhance quality care, patient access and customer service in clinical priority areas. Works closely with clinicians, departmental leadership, and/or CQI to clarify needs, prioritize requests, recommend workflow design, and execute change and adaptation. The Clinical Transformation Specialist will take part in projects to support business strategies.

Reports to the Director of Clinical Operations
Principal Responsibilities- Work with clinical and operational managers to develop and implement policies and optimized workflow. If workflow is system wide or involves technology will partner with the appropriate teams to develop standardized processes for the business.
- Identify non-standard or non-compliant workflows and information gaps.
- Collaborate with the Digital Transformation team in regards to new technology and functionality available in the market to further automate clinical office operations.
- Utilize process improvement methodology for process rollout and improvement.
- Document and contribute to clinical procedures and standards for clinical support including best practices, clinical process flows, knowledge base and develop adaptation processes for the clinics.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with practice users. Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
- Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
- Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in clinical office practice process or office practice management required.
- Licensed as a RN or LPN in the state of IL required.
Skills And Abilities
- Strong basic PC skills required.
- Must be able to use MS Office programs, copier, fax and telephones.
- Extensive knowledge of a broad range of clinical workflows.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers and superiors, to speak in front of groups and to communicate in writing of policies, procedures, memoranda and training materials.
- Must provide own method of transportation to travel to all clinic locations.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- This job operates in a professional office environment. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Team oriented environment utilizing collaboration with peers.
- Sitting and/or standing for long periods/computer work.
