Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist with ARRT, BLS, and active Illinois licensure for night shifts at a Level I trauma acute care hospital.

• Work in an acute care hospital with 562 beds and Magnet designation
• Level I trauma center with adult acute care, adult outpatient, ER, ICU, NICU, and OR settings
• Night shift position, 3x12 hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
• On-call required as needed and will work every other weekend and holidays
• No floating required
• Uses Cerner EMR, Cerner experience preferred
• Parking permit required with no cost; form filled out during orientation
• Performs x-ray imaging for various body systems including abdomen, chest, head, spine, pelvis, and extremities
• Completes mobile, portable, and surgical x-ray procedures as required
• Must be able to handle trauma imaging
• Scrub uniform may be any solid color
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No radius requirement for local candidates
• Discuss block scheduling options with the manager
• Ideally, no more than 5 days of requested time off
• Free parking provided with permit obtained during orientation

• Active ARRT and BLS certifications required
• Active Illinois state license required; pending license not accepted (license required if applicable)
• Minimum of 1 year X-Ray Technologist experience required
• Required experience in adult acute care, outpatient, ER, ICU, NICU, and OR
• Proficiency with abdomen, chest, thorax, head, lower and upper extremity, mobile/surgical, and spine/pelvis X-Ray procedures
• Experience with O-ARM and C-Arm procedures required
• Level I trauma and Cerner EMR experience preferred
