• Location: Springfield, IL 62781
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2000 – $2050
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Magnet facility, Level I Trauma Center
• Unit: 3E IMC (Intermediate Medical Care)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15); 3 or 4 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Any solid color
• Parking: Free with permit

• Minimum 18 months of recent PCU, Stepdown, IMC, or Telemetry RN experience
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at submission)
• BLS and NIHSS certifications (AHA or Red Cross only)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, neuro stepdown, and telemetry nursing
• Ability to float within scope as needed
• Experience with ventilator care and tracheostomy management
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy IMC/PCU nursing environment
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage dysrhythmias and respond to rapid response/code situations
• Care for post-cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, trauma, and complex medical patients
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and manage central, arterial, and peripheral lines
• Manage ventilated patients, tracheostomies, and advanced respiratory support (CPAP/BIPAP, HFNC, chest tubes)
• Provide wound care, isolation precautions, and manage wound vacs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to other nursing units within scope as needed to meet facility needs
• Accurately document patient care in Cerner electronic health record system
