Registered Dietitian

This is a registered, licensed Dietitian position; this role does not require an MD or DO.Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian for a 6- to 9-month position located in the Springfield area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with the ability to provide expert guidance on dietary practices for patients in a mental health facility.

This role is essential in promoting health and wellness through effective nutritional strategies tailored to individual patient needs.

Duties Interprets diet prescriptions in the planning and preparation of menus and diets for individuals at the facility.

Conducts regular reviews of food and related supplies and equipment in the Stores' areas and on the units.

Performs quality assurance checks, including sanitation, food production, and physical plant.

Conducts in-service training to professional and para-professional staff, on proper nutrition and dietary requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned or required, which are reasonably within the scope of responsibilities enumerated above.

Qualifications Bachelors degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field;
Masters degree preferred.

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential (required).Strong knowledge of physiology as it relates to nutrition and health.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while supervising dietary staff effectively.
