What You Will Do
  • Attend and complete all required trainings, including onboarding and ongoing training opportunities, which may take place during normal working hours or before or after a scheduled shift.
  • Work toward, achieve, and maintain RBT certification.
  • Complete 40 hours of BACB‑approved RBT training by the provided due date.
  • Demonstrate skills per the BACB at the end of a 4‑week initial training period.
  • Consistently demonstrate treatment fidelity checklist scores of 80% or better during role‑play or in‑session observations with clients.
  • Apply and pass the BACB RBT exam within the first three attempts (within 90 days of employment).
  • Receive at least 5% supervision from assigned (approved) BCBAs during therapy sessions.
  • Complete activities associated with RBT renewal prior to expiry date.
  • Maintain provided availability regarding work schedule and attendance.
  • Provide ABA therapy under the supervision of a BCBA, including comprehension of teaching instructions, necessary stimuli, reinforcement strategies, and any other information necessary to implement programming.
  • Gain and maintain a therapeutic rapport and relationship with clients and client families.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of behavior analytic teaching procedures including incidental teaching, natural environment teaching (NET), functional communication training, discrete trial training, and chaining.
  • Understand principles of reinforcement, conduct preference and reinforcer assessments, use designated prompting strategies, and fade prompts using designated strategies.
  • Use only empirically supported ABA clinical practices that fall within your scope of competence.
  • Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programming.
  • Assist with assessments as directed by your BCBA, as needed.
  • Accurately collect data on client goals and objectives as outlined in BCBAs treatment or behavior intervention plans in real time.
  • Create session notes that document client session information using the organization’s electronic medical record platform; complete and convert notes on the same day as the therapy appointment, but no more than 24 hours afterward.
  • Adjust behavior accordingly to supervisor feedback.
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude, including adherence to core values, dress codes, and open communication with supervisors.
  • Maintain professional boundaries as outlined by the BACB with clients and client families.
  • Assume responsibility as a mandated reporter concerning incidents of alleged abuse and neglect as per state guidelines and the organization’s policies.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles of applied behavior analysis.
