Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform the duties of Vector Disease Surveillance Lead. Under general direction, conducts statewide human surveillance of infectious diseases and provides training and technical assistance on disease investigation procedures, including reporting, recommendations on control measures, laboratory testing and specimen submissions. Performs case reviews and reports new or unusual diseases and disease trends to the VBD Surveillance Administrator.

Serves as working supervisor. Provides support for the Lyme Disease Task Force.
