Manager, FP&A & Investor Relations – Public Manufacturing Company
A growing publicly traded manufacturing company is building out its corporate finance organization and is seeking a Manager of FP&A & Investor Relations to report directly to the Head of Finance. This is a highly visible role supporting global financial planning, performance management, and external reporting, with meaningful exposure to senior leadership, investors, and strategic initiatives.
The role is well suited for a hands‑on FP&A professional who enjoys building and improving processes, delivering insights to the business, and expanding their scope into investor relations and M&A support.
This position operates in a hybrid work environment based in the western suburbs of Chicago.
Key Responsibilities:Global FP&A, Budgeting & Forecasting
Support and help lead global budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes. Partner with regional and functional leaders to drive forecast accuracy, financial discipline, and transparency across the organization.
Management Reporting & Business InsightsDevelop and deliver management reporting and analysis focused on sales performance, operational results, and key business drivers. Provide actionable insights to leadership by translating financial results into clear implications for decision‑making.
Commercial & Operational AnalysisPartner with sales and operations teams to support performance analysis, trend identification, and business reviews. Assist leadership in understanding drivers of revenue, cost, and profitability across the organization.
Investor Relations & External Reporting SupportSupport investor relations activities including earnings releases, investor presentations, and quarterly reporting processes. Assist in preparing financial narratives, supporting schedules, and analysis used in external communications.
M&A and Strategic Initiative SupportProvide analytical support for M&A activity, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and diligence support. Assist with integration planning and post‑transaction performance tracking as needed.
Systems, Tools & Process DevelopmentHelp build and improve FP&A processes, reporting tools, and planning capabilities as the corporate finance function continues to scale. Experience with One Stream is a plus; exposure to enterprise planning and reporting tools is strongly valued.
Qualifications- 7+ years of progressive FP&A or related finance experience
- Hands‑on FP&A professional comfortable building processes and operating in a growing corporate environment
- Exposure to investor relations, earnings processes, or external reporting is a plus
- Familiarity with One Stream or similar planning and consolidation tools helpful
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with senior leadership
Base compensation: $150,000 – $165,000
Annual bonus opportunity: approximately 30%
