The Title Center is seeking a detail-oriented Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you’ll support real estate transactions by performing underwriting and customer service functions in alignment with established underwriting guidelines. If you have experience in title insurance or real estate transactions, enjoy balancing accuracy with pace, and value collaborative work, this is a strong opportunity within a stable, team-driven environment.

• Respond to inquiries related to file status, rate quotes, title defects, and clearing exceptions.
• Review title searches and opinions to determine title status, underwriting requirements, and exceptions.
• Underwrite and prepare commitments, policies, and endorsements in line with agency goals.
• Ensure all file documentation is complete, accurate, and routed appropriately.
• Support workflow administration, including ordering title searches, scheduling closings, and coordinating document recording.
• Assist with reporting, file maintenance, receivables tracking, and general office support as needed.

• At least three years of relevant experience in title insurance, underwriting, mortgage lending, legal support, or loan processing.
• Working knowledge of title insurance principles, legal instruments, and real estate terminology.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret recorded documents.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Proficiency in typing with speed and accuracy.
