CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Chief Financial Officer works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and provides leadership in the following areas:
- Daily transactions activity, to include entry, receipting, posting, and reconciliation.
- Actuation and reconciliation of funds across multiple accounts.
- Management of financial vendor relationships, to include Back Office service.
- Preparation and management of an annual financial audit.
- Preparation and management of tax forms for clients (i.e. 1099s) and split interest and taxable trusts (5227, 1041).
- Maintenance and reconciliation of all general ledger and sub ledger accounts in support of the activities noted above.
- Preparation of regular financial management documents and reports.
- Assist in policy setting regarding investments, monitor the implementation of such policy, and ensure congruence between the policy and implementation.
- Assist in the annual preparation of the operating budget.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Member in good standing in a Christian Church, member of an Illinois Baptist State Association Church preferred.

- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- CPA license preferred.
- Excellent digital management skills, to include Microsoft Suite and modern electronic communication.
- Work ethic that is self initiating. Ability to thrive in a small team environment.
- Salary $70,000-$90,000 depending on experience and salary history.
- Benefit package to include paid vacation, retirement (10% of salary), life insurance, and health insurance and/or supplement.
