Job DescriptionTITLE OF VACANCY: Lead School Psychologist
LOCATION: Student Support Services
CONTRACT PERIOD: 180 days plus extended contract days
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Student Support Services
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree or higher in school psychology or educational psychology, including a minimum 60 semester hours of psychology.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator’s License with School Psychologist endorsement.
- Supervisory endorsement preferred or willingness to work toward.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a school psychologist.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate capabilities in leadership, public and community relations, and academic competence.
- Knowledge of current federal and state laws and rules and regulations that pertain to students with disabilities
- Provide technical guidance, consultation, and ongoing support to school psychologists across the district.
- Contribute technical expertise to the evaluation and performance review of school psychologists.
- Support and strengthen collaboration between special education and general education within district MTSS frameworks.
- Assist in the development, planning, and delivery of relevant professional development for psychology staff and school teams.
- Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of school psychology services district wide.
- Serve as district liaison with universities for internship programs, including recruitment, selection, supervision, and oversight of school psychology interns.
- Assist in coordinating and supporting District Crisis Intervention efforts and response planning.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support district priorities.
