Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and energetic individual to serve as Regional Office Receptionist. Under direction, this position will perform complex clerical services for professional staff in the assigned office, answer phones, and greet visitors. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and interested in playing a supporting role in the Department’s operations.

- Serves as Regional Office Receptionist
- Answers all incoming calls and screens callers to determine nature of request, many of which may be hostile
- Greets visitors and directs walk-ins to appropriate offices and resources
- Orders and distributes forms from Central Stores
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school
- Requires 2 years of office experience
- Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm
- Requires ability to pass a background check
