Distribution Clerk; U

Overview

To perform distribution and transfer services for the departments within SIU Medicine.

This position is ON SITE only.

• 30% Distributes furniture, equipment and supplies to SIU Medicine locations;
• 15% Moves and sets up furniture, including tables and chairs for SIU Medicine events;
• 10% Receives and unloads trucks delivering to the School of Medicine;
• 35% Picks up and delivers mail to/from main post office and campus, sorts, processes and distributes mail to all SIU Medicine locations;
• 5% Keeps accurate records on deliveries, supplies and equipment as required;
• 5% Performs other duties as assigned.

Credentials to be Verified by Placement Officer

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

Condition of Employment:

Pursuant to the State University Civil Service System, an out-of-state resident who is hired into this position must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of their start date.
