Position Information
Auditor I (Financial and Compliance Audit Operations) gathers and analyzes information for financial audits and compliance attestation engagements of governmental agencies. We submit reports directly to the General Assembly and the Governor. We offer a professional atmosphere with 35‑hour work weeks; the option to be off every Friday or Monday; flexible hours; 13 paid government holidays; paid vacation, sick and personal time;
pension benefits; and health, vision, dental and life insurance.

Salary: $50,616‑$63,960
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in accounting
- Strong conceptual, reading, communication, comprehension, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Must be able to work as part of a team, take initiative, and meet deadlines
- Master's degree in accounting or meet qualifications to sit for the Certified Public Accountant exam
- Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant
- Coursework in governmental accounting, auditing, fraud detection, and/or information systems
