Job Title: Production Technician I
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Location: Springdale, Ohio
- 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday 6AM - 630PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 6PM - 630AM
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Production Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role plays a key part in the food production process, operating equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a clean and secure work environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, and committed to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate production equipment according to detailed Work Instructions and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Conduct lab sampling and basic testing to ensure product quality and compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintain biosecurity protocols and production security procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to meet daily output goals and deadlines.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and yard spotters to move and stage raw materials and finished products.
- Keep work areas clean and sanitized; perform regular sanitation of equipment as required.
- Record and maintain accurate production data and documentation.
- Support team members and adapt to different production tasks as needed.
Required:
- Ability to work in a food manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Flexibility to work either day or night shift.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory testing and production documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, bending, stooping).
- Prior experience in the food processing or manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and other warehouse or production equipment.
- Ability to speak and write English at a basic level is a plus.
- Forklifts, yard spotters, conveyors, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Standard office equipment including computers, printers, copiers, and calculators.
- Work may be performed in hot, cold, dusty, or humid conditions depending on the season.
- Requires physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to work around machinery and cleaning agents.
- Must be mentally adaptable and capable of following complex instructions in a variety of situations.
