Quality Assurance Technician

Work Source in NWA is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for a Springdale AR facility. To qualify, you should have stable work history and industrial maintenance experience.

$17.50/Hr

Night shift

6pm - 6am

SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for assuring all products meet and exceed manufacturing standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)

Arrives 10 minutes prior to shift start time to receive pass down from outgoing operator

Maintain communication with department Lead and Supervisor regarding the production schedule, the products that will be produced and any changeovers throughout the shift

Performs laboratory tests to determine physical characteristics or composition of materials for such purpose as quality control, further processes, product development and others.

Understands material characteristics, grading parameters and system

Performs product checks every 10 minutes to ensure product meets quality standards

Maintains communication Supervisor

Reports, documents, all product checks at a level of 100% compliance.

Follows all safety rules and regulations, including Lockout Tagout Procedures when performing repairs on equipment

Performs daily safety audit around workstation to identify any safety hazards

Ensure the work area is maintained clean and organized throughout the shift

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or at least 1 year of manufacturing/production experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education experience. 1-3 years of Quality Assurance/Control Experience in a manufacturing environment

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must be able to utilize Programmable Logic Controller Screens and navigate through our Material Transfer System.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

The person for this position should have the ability to read and interpret common simple instructions and communicate effectively with Lead and Supervisors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

The associate should have the ability to utilize a calculator to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measurements.

REASONING ABILITY

This person should have the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. He should also be able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
