$17.00/hour

Monday - Friday possible Saturdays

This position is responsible for checking the weight of the whole leg boxes and applying a code date label.

• Each box of whole legs is pulled off of the line and placed onto a scale.
• The Whole Leg Scaler checks the weight of the box and adds or removes whole legs to get as close as possible to target weight.
• A code date label is printed and applied to the box and then the box is placed back onto the conveyor to go through the automatic strapping machine.
• If the strap spool is being replaced in the strapping machine the boxes are stacked onto a pallet until they can be run though the strapping machine.
• The Scaler will be required to lift 40 pound boxes.
• This position requires standing, pushing, gripping the hands and wrists and lifting for 10 hours. The temperature in this area is 45 degrees.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

This facility does accept rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than 2 previous times.

Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
