Position OverviewOperate machines to shape or process metal products. This includes punching, pressing, bending, crimping, notching, or straightening metal parts according to specifications.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Comfortable using measuring tools (calipers, rulers, gauges)
- Set up and operate machinery following instructions
- Monitor machines to ensure proper operation
- Measure and inspect finished parts for quality
- Perform basic machine adjustments and maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective gear
- Industrial manufacturing setting
- Hot and noisy conditions; temperatures may exceed 100°F
- Regular standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs
- Use of safety equipment including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
- Attention to detail and quality
Basic math and measurement - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Time management and reliability
