The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Machinist Technician for AWW Shift. Shift earns 8% shift premium after training period on 1st shift. Training hours are Monday‑Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and permanent AWW shift hours are Friday‑Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Overtime opportunity may be available after a period of training. Pratt & Whitney PSD is an FAA regulated facility, and compliance with such rules is a condition of employment.

• Set‑up and operate conventional, special purpose, and computerized numeric control (CNC) machines to fabricate and repair metallic and non‑metallic parts.
• Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine machine and set‑up requirements.
• Set‑up and prepare includes: set up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
• Operator level maintenance of machine and set‑up documents.
• Use measuring devices like micrometers and calipers to ensure specifications are met.
• Maintain a clean work environment.

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of machining experience.
• Previous experience/training reading blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set‑up requirements.

• Technical trade school degree in machining.
• Training to include set‑up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
• 5+ years of machining experience.
• 5‑axis horizontal or vertical milling experience.
• Experience with VTL, Lathes, and/or Mills.
• FANUC Controller experience.

Pratt & Whitney Springdale, AR is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre‑employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
