MAJOR FUNCTION
This role is responsible for ensuring production assembly cell is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedule. The Team Lead provides effective training to the assembly cell and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times. This role is also responsible for the operation of a manufacturing function, supporting the Warehouse Manager with the day-to-day management of their assigned area, and ensuring an efficient operation in achieving business targets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Determine production requirements (e.g. output quality and quantity, cost, time, labor requirements), analyzing charts, work orders, production schedules, etc.

Determines schedules, priorities and assignments for assembly line activities.

Confer with other supervisors, managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments to ensure alignment.

Training and cross-training employees within the different areas; monitor assembly line workers performance.

Participates in the work activities of assembly line work.

Enforce safety practices and all times; recommend and implement initiatives such as new techniques and products, and changes in staff levels to upper management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to (1) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Strong computer skills a must.
- SAP experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to operate a fork-lift.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Provide leadership and line management to the team; coordinating workloads.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and quality standards are being met in order to meet the requirements of the customer.
- Continuously develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, while fostering a culture of working safely.
- Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities. Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team.
COMPUTER SKILLS: must have basic computer skills.
