Territory: Arkansas and North Louisiana
Job SummaryA Business Development Manager (BDM) drives company growth by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and developing strategies to increase sales and market presence. This role involves market research, lead generation, proposal development, negotiation, and coordination with sales and marketing teams to support revenue growth and brand recognition.
Duties & Responsibilities- Networking within the assigned territory to establish relationships, narratives, and business strategies.
- Responding to customers, architects, engineers, and construction managers in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with leadership to meet revenue goals.
- Ability to collaborate with onsite managers and owners.
- Must be customer-friendly.
- Conduct routine site visits before and after the sale.
- Work closely with project managers and estimators on estimates and proposals.
- Coordinate with designers to ensure designs are thorough and complete.
- Support other BDMs as needed.
- Review architectural and engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure regulations are followed and appropriate construction methods are applied.
- Report to owners and GCs on installation progress, issues, and any necessary project modifications required or requested.
- Work with estimators to ensure opportunity estimates and quotes meet customer expectations while maintaining optimal cost efficiency.
- Confer with superintendents, owners, general contractors, and subcontractors to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and installation issues.
- Lead by example in quality, work ethic, safety, organization, attitude, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Serve as the face of Geo Surfaces while in the field.
- Ability to generate and follow a project plan or schedule and make adjustments as required to meet job completion target dates. Ability to schedule and multitask.
- Working knowledge of the artificial turf and track industry and/or grading, flooring, and general construction.
- Ability to plan and organize a team effort, with a passion for motivating, leading, and boosting team morale.
- Excellent client relationship management skills.
- Capacity to handle the pressure of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Enjoy serving as a trainer, coach, and mentor to job superintendents, project coordinators, estimators, and installation crews.
- Excellent reasoning, problem-solving, and math skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Effective time management and logical decision-making abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
AutoCAD;
Google Earth; and various internet search tools. - Ability to input data into Salesforce on a consistent basis.
- Regular vehicle travel throughout the assigned territory is required; a valid driver’s license and ability to travel by car are necessary.
- Out-of-town travel to job sites is required.
