Design lighting, power distribution, and low voltage systems for commercial, industrial, and military construction projects. The Electrical Engineer will work independently and as part of a team, effectively conveying technical information, collaborating with colleagues, and communicating with clients.

- Electrical design, including lighting, power, and systems, using Revit for modeling.
- Travel to job sites for verifying existing conditions and data gathering.
- Coordinate with electric utility company representatives.
- Meet with clients to discuss project requirements.
- Conduct building assessments and prepare detailed reports.
- Manage workload from large projects to multiple smaller projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies
- Knowledge of building codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IBC, etc.).
- Ability to research and apply updates to building codes and standards.
- Knowledge of lighting concepts, technologies, controls, calculations, and emergency lighting.
- Knowledge of power distribution strategies, including generator-backed systems, load calculations, and short circuit concepts.
- General knowledge of low voltage systems such as network cabling, nurse call, security.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for design calculations and documentation.
- Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate across disciplines to meet project deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management to handle multiple projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in electrical design and project execution.
- Experience with electrical design from concept through completion, including drawings, specifications, and narratives.
- Experience with electrical building design, power distribution, and lighting systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit, Power Tools for Windows (PTW), and Easy Power is preferred.
- FE or PE licensure is preferred.
- RCCD certification is preferred.
- Travel requirements: 5% - 10%.

- Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Prolonged sitting or standing at a desk working on a computer.
- Exposure to outdoor elements when on-site.
