Our Welder is responsible to weld and fabricate all steel weldments and components to keep pace with production and Field Operations Department and meet all quality standard.

This is a 1st shift position starting at 7:00AM with an hourly starting rate of $21.50/hour which can increase based on previous welding experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform welding, burning, drilling, shearing, sawing, bending plasma cutting and grinding of steel to fabricate weld hardware for concrete pieces per bill of material, blueprints, engineering specifications and industry and quality standards.
  • Fabricate other erection hardware and assemblies from bill of material and blueprints.
  • May be assigned to any operation and area to weld rails and strip beds.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies required for area: mig wire, flat and rebar, angle steel, blocks, cutting gases and welding rods, site/erection area.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to all weld shop equipment and designated plant machinery.
  • Properly tag all weldments, galvanizing, epoxy coating with correct product numbers.
  • Responsible to maintain an attitude of safety awareness as it pertains to department, company, and corporate safety rules, regulations and procedures by demonstrating he/she can work in a safe manner on a continual basis, by following established procedures in the areas of safety/health ensuring the safety of his/her fellow co-workers is not jeopardized by their actions.
  • 6S – required to meet and support daily, weekly and monthly 6S goals and objectives.
  • Handle all material as directed by the Lead person, which may include operating an overhead crane or tow motor to move or reposition material, components and weldments.
  • Start/stop labor codes as required for production labor.
  • Clean and return all tools and equipment to storage area daily.
  • Maintains quality focus for all tasks and looks to improve product for both internal and external customers.
  • Participates in Quality projects as needed.
  • Adhere to company policies pertaining to attendance and tardiness.
  • Perform other job duties and assignments as required within scope of job responsibilities
Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • MIG certified
  • Experience:

    One (1) years previous welding experience, preferred or completed Welding CTC Program
  • Ability to learn welding skills
  • Ability to read blue prints and tape measure
