Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business, engineering, and development teams to evaluate and determine the best cloud and application architecture options on Azure
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support cloud-based applications and integrations
- Design, create, and implement modular, cloud-based applications that are highly available, secure, and scalable
- Lead the design and implementation of AI-enabled solutions, leveraging Microsoft Azure AI services where appropriate
- Develop, test, and optimize code and data pipelines for AI and data-driven applications
- Evaluate existing applications (desktop and cloud) and recommend approaches to modernize and consolidate them into unified, cloud‑native solutions
- Implement and maintain Azure Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines (or equivalent) to automate build, test, and deployment for full-stack applications
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries using SQL and related data services;
Ensure performant, secure, and reliable data access - Continuously monitor and optimize application performance and cloud resources, recommending improvements to architecture, reliability, and cost
- Lead efforts to enhance cloud security, compliance, and governance for applications and data
- Manage solutions for operational administration, including system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring
- Apply and advocate for best practices in cloud architecture, coding standards, testing, and deployment
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate infrastructure and application vulnerabilities;
Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues - Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using React
JS (or similar modern JavaScript framework) for the front end and C#/.NET for the back end
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (PaaS, IaaS, and platform services) is required; experience with GCP or AWS is a plus
- Front end:
React
JS (preferred) or similar modern JavaScript framework - Back end: C#/.NET for building APIs, services, and integrations
- Solid experience designing and developing cloud-native applications that are scalable, highly available, and aligned with industry best practices
- Hands‑on experience with Azure Dev Ops CI/CD (or similar tools such as Git Lab) for automated builds, tests, and deployments
- Strong SQL skills (queries, performance tuning, schema design) and experience working with relational databases;
Familiarity with No
SQL data stores is a plus - Knowledge of RESTful API development, integration, and security best practices
- Experience with scripting and automation, including one or more languages such as C# and Python
- Familiarity with Azure AI services, including pre‑built AI components and custom ML models
- In‑depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity and access management, and compliance considerations
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to collaborate effectively with development teams, business stakeholders, and engineering experts
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver solutions with minimal supervision
- Strong leadership and project coordination skills, with a track record of delivering successful cloud and application projects
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
