• Stock and rotate products daily to maintain a well-stocked department.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and inventory control standards.
• Assist with inventory control, loading, unloading, and moving product.
• Organize, clean, and prepare the back area for the night crew and incoming trucks.
• Build, stock, maintain, and take down store displays.
• Provide superior customer service, answering questions and assisting with selections.
• Merchandise product effectively and use suggestive selling techniques.
• Clean and sanitize the sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment.
• Comply with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures.

• Checks shipments for out-of-date and damaged product to ensure freshness and quality of products.
• Builds, stocks, maintains, and takes down store displays.
• Performs Customer Service Assistant duties as needed.

• Provides superior customer service.
• Answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections; helps customers locate store merchandise.

• Merchandises product effectively.
• Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales.

• Cleans and sanitizes sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment.
• Properly handles and maintains the operation of all equipment.
• Complies with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures.

• Beauty – Knowledge of beauty and cosmetic aids.
• Drugstore / General Merchandise – Prepares tags and signs as needed.
• Entertainment – Knowledge in audio/video field; specialty products, movies, music, electronics, and video games.
• Grocery – Organizes, cleans, and prepares back area; prepares tags and signs as needed.
• Texas Backyard – Basic knowledge of chemical recommendations; basic knowledge of nursery business and plant recommendations; ability to complete Green Thumb training.

• Minimum age 18 (mandatory).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience.
• Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Reading and writing skills.
• Planning and organizing skills.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to function in a fast‑paced, retail environment.
• Physical ability to lift 30–60 lbs as required by department.
