This role focuses on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, store cleanliness, and enabling in-store and digital services to drive guest loyalty. You will be empowered to make shopping quick and easy at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive up while maintaining high quality.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you perform daily tasks.
- Assist guests by engaging in a welcoming way to solve their specific needs.
- Inform guests about current promos, store activities, and events.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience.
- Thank guests and express appreciation for their visit.
- Know and discuss benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with applications or sign-up as needed.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Explain and demonstrate features of the Target App and Wallet; assist with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering.
- Return processing with guidance from leadership as needed, following Target policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and manage stock during store hours.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; report hazards and address where possible.
- Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up, and returns while complying with applicable laws.
- Perform other duties based on business needs.
- You enjoy interacting with guests and helping others, including team members and shoppers.
- You thrive in a fast-moving, active environment requiring teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving.
- You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays).
- Effective communication, a welcoming attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to educate guests about products and services.
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and technology, work independently or with a team, and stay composed in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to lift up to 44 pounds with or without assistance and work in varying temperatures or elements as needed for certain duties.
