About Houston

Exxon Mobil’s state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low’Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team

As the North America Insights and Marketing Intelligence Advisor, you will help shape Mobil lubricants to meet the needs of our consumers, customers, and business partners.

This role provides strategic business consulting and consumer‑led insights to stakeholders, shaping marketing and portfolio decisions. The position serves as a connective hub between global and local teams‐leveraging deep market research expertise, cross‑functional collaboration, and influence without authority to improve marketing effectiveness, performance measurement, and brand relevance.

What you will do

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Provide business consulting to marketing stakeholders, influencing strategic choices through data, storytelling, and business knowledge.
  • Be the voice of the customer, to influence marketing decisions inline with the preferences and trends of the markets and categories we compete in.
  • Deliver insightful and actionable reports and presentations, leveraging an ecosystem of data married with deep brand, marketing and internal market knowledge.
  • Support Business Teams with research‐related needs (e.g., segmentation, brand architecture, brand equity) on an ad hoc basis, in line with budget discipline.
About you

Skills and

Qualifications:

  • Background in market research, either on client or supplier side.
  • Significant experience with both quant and qual research techniques, including brand health/equity tracking, CX measurements, mROI calculations, in‐context immersions.
  • Proven ability to operate independently and develop research screeners, questionnaires, discussion guides; demonstrated ability to analyze quant data and distill findings, insights, and influence action against the results.
  • Deliver consistent, high‐quality and actionable reports across research studies and tools.



Preferred Qualifications /

Experience:

  • Ideal candidate will have experience in lubricants, automotive, or other adjacent space.
  • Consulting experience.
