OverviewThe Landscaping Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining the park's quality landscapes and ensuring a clean, friendly, and safe environment for our guests and Team Members. This seasonal position runs from May to September and includes oversight of landscaping maintenance, flowerbeds, planting, watering, pest management, mowing, and more. The supervisor will coach and guide the landscaping team.
Responsibilities- Overseeing all aspects of landscaping to include staffing, training, and daily operations
- Ensuring hiring and onboarding has been completed through the Operations Administrative team
- Ensuring all daily paperwork, employee trainings, and all other documents are completed and filed
- Creating and posting department schedules through Operations Administrative team
- Creating and maintaining a positive, high-performance team culture that increases retention, motivation, and morale
- Creating achievable goals for department sections
- Preparing, directing, and managing the team's daily assignments
- Maintaining an inventory of landscaping tools, supplies, and ensuring all equipment is in safe working order
- Performing routine inspections of the entire park to maintain a quality level that meets guest and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown standards
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Maintaining Six Flags’ Guest First Standards
- Conducting audits to measure department success
- Communicating team or park-related concerns to the Operations Supervisor
- Enforcing all Six Flags policies
- Performing all other duties as assigned or as necessary to support the Park Services Department and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Clear demonstration of excellent Guest Service skills and a commitment to our Guest First philosophy.
- Adhere to Park Attendance Policy as stated in the Six Flags Seasonal Handbook.
- Availability to work flexible hours and varied shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and sun.
- Meet the physical demands of the job, including bending, pulling, and lifting up to 60 lbs. alone or 100 lbs. with assistance, with or without reasonable accommodation.
