Power BI Developer

Job Description

• The Power BI Developer will design, develop, and maintain advanced and interactive Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and reports with a strong focus on performance, usability, and end-user experience.
• The role involves building robust data models, implementing enterprise-grade solutions in Power BI Service, and collaborating with engineering and business teams to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

• 5+ years of hands-on professional experience developing Power BI solutions.
• Strong expertise in DAX and advanced dashboard development.
• Excellent understanding of data modeling concepts including star schema, fact and dimension design, and normalization.
• Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Proven ability to build and optimize data models and write efficient DAX queries.
• Experience using Git Hub for version control with PBIP projects.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with enterprise data sources.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within agile, cross-functional teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and reports.
• Build optimized star schemas, DAX measures, calculation groups, and reusable modeling patterns.
• Implement and manage Power BI Service solutions including work spaces and deployment pipelines.
• Manage data refresh strategies including scheduled refresh, incremental refresh, Direct Query, and hybrid models.
• Apply modern Power BI features such as field parameters, dynamic formatting, optimized ribbon features, paginated reports, and Power Query scripting.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate Power BI solutions.
• Manage source control using Git Hub including branching, pull requests, and code reviews aligned with deployment pipelines.
• Conduct performance optimization for large datasets using aggregations, composite models, and DAX tuning techniques.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable analytics solutions.

• Knowledge of Power Query and transformation best practices.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale analytics and large datasets.
• Strong background in data storytelling and dashboard UX/UI design.
• Experience in business requirements gathering and translating needs into reporting solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
