Ignition Developer

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in any specialization
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
• Practical experience with Ignition SCADA
• Proficiency in all Ignition Modules including Alarm, EAM, Device driver, Tag historian, DB Management, MQTT, etc.
• Knowledge of various Ignition Architectures and Licensing schemes
• Experience with Python scripting and reporting in Ignition
• Background in large-scale design and development of HMI, MES, and SCADA systems utilizing the Ignition platform
• Familiarity with complex network architectures in both cloud and on‑premises IGNITION SCADA systems
• Experience troubleshooting various device interfaces such as OPC UA, Modbus, DNP, MQTT
• Ability to interpret PLC logic and programming
• Expertise in executing medium to complex queries, stored procedures, and functions with JDBC and ODBC databases
• Capability to provide technical guidance for agile development and CI/CD integration
• Proficient with leading cloud services like MS Azure and AWS
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to various domains
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with all management levels and clients
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities

• Deliver broad technical and functional knowledge of key manufacturing systems technologies and related business platforms
• Engage in hands‑on development of Ignition SCADA applications
• Design and build solutions around Ignition modules and architecture
• Implement and troubleshoot complex network setups for cloud and on‑site Ignition SCADA systems
• Work independently on high‑level control and SCADA projects
• Interact with various device communication protocols such as OPC UA and Modbus
• Conduct training and provide support for SQL query writing
• Lead technical discussions and assist in the automated deployment processes across different cloud platforms
• Contribute to process improvements and best practices implementation
