We are seeking an experienced Driver Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified commercial drivers while ensuring compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transportation industry standards, proven recruiting experience, and the ability to build a robust pipeline of driver talent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Screening
    • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for assigned region or business area
    • Screen applicants for qualifications, safety record, work history, and DOT/FMCSA compliance.
    • Review and interpret reports such as Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) reports.
    • Conduct phone interviews and coordinate in-person or virtual interviews with hiring managers.
    • Serve as liaison with third-party agencies, vendors, and partners providing recruiting services.
  • Compliance & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate candidate tracking and reporting in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
    • Ensure all driver hires meet DOT and FMCSA regulatory requirements as well as company standards.
    • Collaborate with Safety, Compliance, and HR teams to verify documentation and compliance.
  • Pipeline Development
    • Build and maintain a continuous pipeline of qualified driver candidates to support proactive hiring needs.
    • Develop creative recruiting campaigns and outreach strategies in partnership with Marketing and Operations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and adapt sourcing strategies accordingly.
    • Track and update recruiting reports and key metrics for assigned regions.
  • Provide guidance on market trends and candidate availability to support strategic hiring decisions.
    • Share regular updates on Talent Acquisition strategies to the Talent Acquisition Manager.
    • Collaborate with HR teams to design and implement process improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience recruiting drivers in high-volume environments.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using an ATS for sourcing and managing driver candidates.
  • Demonstrated experience hiring Hazmat Tanker Drivers.
  • Proven track record in recruiting across various driver types including OTR, regional, team, and local drivers within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA compliance requirements for commercial drivers.
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers and adapting sourcing strategies to meet team needs.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze MVRs, PSP reports, and other compliance-related documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using Tenstreet, specifically, as an ATS for sourcing and managing driver candidates.
  • Class A CDL license.
  • Background in industrial gas or chemical industry.
