Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized type of pharmacy that focuses on processing and dispensing of prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region. Unlike a traditional pharmacy, Central Fill is full of automation allowing prescriptions to be filled fast and accurately. We are hiring for Certified Pharmacy Technician in Spring, TX

Note:

This role is open to candidates located near Spring, TX and who are willing to relocate to the area.

We are seeking an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services in our Central Fill facility. You will collaborate with pharmacists to provide exceptional customer service, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure compliance with state regulations and Walmart's standards.
Compensation details:

  • Pay starts$19.50 - 21.50 based on experience.
  • Plus $2 shift differential for 2nd shift

Work Schedule:

  • 1st shift:
    Amenable to work an 8-hour shift between6:00 AM-6:00 PM (Full-Time only)
  • 2nd shift Amenable to work an 8-hour shift between 3:00 PM-3:00 AM (Full-Time and Part-Time)
  • For Full-Time-Facility is open 7 days a week and must be available open and available to work all days. Associates actual schedules will be 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts and is a rotating schedule.
    For Part-time -Availability to work 2, or 3 days per week, Friday and Sunday are set days, it is a 10-hr shifts, the other day is based on associates' availability.

    Job

    Duties include:

    • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies as prescribed by physicians.
    • Process prescriptions, including counting, bottling, packaging, labeling, and recording medication dosages.
    • Receive and process prescriptions, including entering prescription information into computer system and verifying accuracy.
    • Perform inventory control, including stocking and re-stocking medications and supplies, removing expired items, and reporting on inventory levels.
    • Answer phone calls, manage customer queries and forward complex queries to the pharmacist.
    • Process insurance claims and manage payments.
    • Comply with all security measures and quality standards of pharmaceutical care.
    • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, including storing and disposing of medications and supplies properly.
    • Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and pharmacy operations.

    • Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement.
    • Proficiency in managing inventory.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic computer skills for maintaining records and creating reports.
    • Understanding of health and safety regulations.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
    • Stands for long periods of time.
    • Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
    • Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
