Financial Consultant, Risk Manager/Analyst
Twin Eagle Resource Management, LLC is looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join the Risk team to design and implement quantitative measures of risk for the Wholesale Energy Commodities business. The qualified candidate will have strong quantitative and interpersonal skills, as well experience with risk control measures. This position will initially report to the Vice President of Risk.
Position Responsibilities:- Contributes to team managing risk controls for the trade floor, ensures correct pricing and marking of the portfolio, and reports on positions and profit-and-loss.
- Monitoring trade capture, including external interfaces with exchanges and brokers, and validating exposures against trading limits.
- Reporting and analyzing current-month ("cash") and forward positions.
- Reporting and analyzing mark-to-market (MTM) and profit-and-loss (P&L), providing insight into MTM drivers and changes.
- Develop a deep understanding of the energy trading risk management (ETRM) system, supporting day-to-day operation, as well as on-going maintenance and enhancements.
- Building and enhancing analytical tools and interactive reports using Power
BI and other tools. - Involvement in ad-hoc analysis initiatives and preparing materials for stakeholders throughout Twin Eagle.
- Developing, documenting and refining risk procedures, policies and controls.
- Ensuring accurate capture and valuation of complex transactions.
- Maintaining consistent communication with the front office and the executive team, responding to inquiries and requests diligently and in a timely manner.
- Supporting audit requests from internal and external auditors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in risk management in a trading environment.
- High technical proficiency, including Excel, Power
BI (or other reporting platform), and ETRM system(s). - Strong troubleshooting, analysis and problem-solving skills combined with intellectual curiosity and initiative.
- Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders across the firm, including executives, traders, middle office personnel and other risk analysts.
- Advanced knowledge of natural gas pricing, forward curve structure, and risk decomposition.
- Excellent understanding of energy trading landscape, including trading hubs, transportation/transmission networks, physical & financial traded products, and trading strategies.
