We specialize in commercial playgrounds, splash pads, shade structures, park amenities, skate parks, and more — delivering full turnkey design-build solutions for municipalities, schools, HOAs, and developers. We are growing and looking for a Playground Design & CAD Specialist to help bring creative recreation spaces to life.

The Playground Design & CAD Specialist is responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D design drawings using AutoCAD for commercial playgrounds and related recreation projects. This role works closely with the sales team, project managers, and customers to translate conceptual ideas into construction-ready site plans and presentation-quality layouts. This is a highly collaborative and detail-oriented position that plays a critical role in both winning projects and delivering them successfully.

• Develop detailed AutoCAD site plans for playgrounds, splash pads, skate parks, shade structures, and park amenities
• Produce layout drawings showing equipment placement, safety zones, fall surfacing, drainage, and site integration
• Create 3D renderings and visual concepts for client presentations (if skilled in 3D tools)
• Interpret surveys, civil drawings, and architectural plans
• Coordinate closely with Sales and Project Management teams
• Ensure compliance with ASTM F1487, CPSC, ADA, and local municipal requirements
• Prepare permit-ready and construction-ready drawings
• Revise drawings based on client feedback and internal review
• Maintain drawing standards, title blocks, layers, and documentation consistency
• Assist with value engineering and site optimization

Required

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D preferred)
• Experience reading civil, architectural, or landscape plans
• Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred

• Experience designing commercial playgrounds, parks, or site amenities
• Knowledge of ASTM, ADA, and playground safety standards
• Experience with Sketch Up, Revit, Lumion, or other 3D modeling tools
• Landscape architecture, drafting, or engineering background
