As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and strong customer service.

This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will support operations with integrity while working on a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of utility property including buildings, parking areas, access roads, gates, fenced perimeters, and/or equipment yards to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.

+ Monitor access control points and perform security-related screening such as verifying identification, controlling vehicle and pedestrian entry, and directing visitors to the proper location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with site notifications, documenting observations, and supporting arriving responders as directed by site procedures.

+ Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate security-related information to supervision and site contacts, and report maintenance concerns such as lighting outages, damaged fencing, and/or unsecured doors.

* + Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Have customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
