Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The OpportunityWe are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Spring Lake that are seeking skilled Tooling Engineers. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize new and existing production tooling, fixtures, and molds.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for tooling-related production issues.
- Manage the maintenance, repair, and modification of all manufacturing tooling.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure tooling meets product specifications and production requirements.
- Specify, evaluate, and procure new tooling and equipment from external vendors.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive tooling documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and maintenance logs.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tooling performance, lifespan, and cost‑efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in tooling design, development, or maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, CATIA) for tool design and analysis
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, machining, or casting
- Demonstrated knowledge of GD&T, material properties, and heat treatment for tool steels
- Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies for tooling issues
- Experience with Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling applications.
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or other simulation software for tool validation.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
- Experience with Mold Flow Analysis software for injection molding tooling.
- Knowledge of automation or robotics integration in manufacturing processes.
