Your Role as the Personal Care Attendant (PCA)

Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to support our residents’ physical and emotional well‑being in a warm, home‑like environment. In this rewarding role, you’ll have a direct impact on residents’ daily lives by helping them feel safe, comfortable, and respected.

You’ll work alongside a supportive team of caregivers and nursing staff who are committed to providing exceptional care and creating meaningful connections with residents and families.

Summary

The Person al Care Attendant provides hands‑on assistance with activities of daily living while supporting residents’ emotional well‑being and quality of life. This role functions as part of an interdisciplinary care team and upholds Americare’s standards, values, and commitment to resident‑centered care.

This role may also be known as:

Personal Care Attendant (PCA), Caregiver, Resident Care Assistant, or Personal Support Aide.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Provide compassionate physical and emotional support while preserving resident dignity.
  • Monitor resident safety and observe for signs of distress or changes in condition.
  • Accurately document resident care, activities, and changes as required.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff and fellow caregivers regarding resident needs.
  • Engage residents in activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well‑being.
  • Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
  • Support a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment.
What You Bring Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
    .
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR and BLS certifications are a plus —
