Purpose of Position

The Pilot is responsible for providing a superior air transportation experience with an unparalleled safety record on every flight. The Pilot serves as the face of Net Jets, delivering technically accurate and safe transportation while providing an exceptional service experience for every Net Jets owner and passenger. The Pilot wears many hats, offering a concierge-level service that ranges from professional aviator to in‑flight service provider.

The Pilot is in full command of the aircraft at all times and must always maintain a professional demeanor.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, take‑off, and landing per FAA guidelines and Net Jets operational manuals.
  • Greets owners/passengers pre‑flight, provides introductions, briefs them on itinerary, weather updates, and safety briefings, and explains any itinerary changes.
  • Provides in‑flight service, including handling alcohol and catering.
  • Loads and properly stows baggage as needed.
  • Handles flights for owners with pets, smokers, or any special requirements.
  • Acts as the final authority on all aircraft operations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidance.
  • Serves as liaison for owners/passengers and Net Jets from arrival at the FBO to the final destination.
  • Communicates maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company’s Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and completes associated paperwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on the assignment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
  • At least 21 years of age
  • 1,500 hours total flight time or 1,250–1,000 hours with appropriate certification
  • 200 hours cross‑country (>50 nm) flight time
  • 250 hours fixed‑wing PIC
  • 100 hours night flying or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings
  • 75 hours instrument time
  • ATP written completed prior to indoctrination training
  • 50 hours fixed‑wing, multi‑engine time
  • Current FAA First‑Class Medical certificate
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit
  • Valid passport
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel internationally without restriction
  • Ability to work varying hours, including day/night, weekdays/weekends/holidays
  • Extreme flexibility and rapid change adaptation
  • Rest management to ensure readiness for flight duty
  • Duty may last up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days, spanning time zones and extreme weather
  • May be away from home for seven or more days and nights, staying in hotels
  • Secure airport authority and U.S. Customs security badges
  • Pass TSA background screening
  • Valid U.S. passport for international travel
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Service‑oriented appearance and ability to make a positive impression
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills under pressure
  • Decision‑making ability with attention to detail
  • Physical strength for lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, 10 pounds constantly
  • Ability to work around animals, including handing and caring for pets
  • Ability to conduct flights for owners who smoke
Base Salary Range

$86,015 – $117,706
