AI Solutions Engineer – Nuvodia, Spokane Valley, WA, United States

Base Pay Range: $88,880 – $170,000 annually.

Summary

The AI Solutions Engineer is a full‑time, regular position working Monday‑Friday day shift hours hybrid in Spokane, WA. They will apply extensive experience to design, build, and deploy generative AI‑powered tools and agents tailored to client needs in IT operations, business process automation, and data analytics. The role involves hands‑on coding, AI model integration (e.g., fine‑tuned LLMs like Claude, GPT‑4, or Gemini), and workflow automation to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Software Engineering or a related field, over 8 years of AI/ML engineering experience, including 5+ years in AI and 3+ years in client‑facing roles, with expertise in Python, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployment of generative AI models. Responsibilities include collaborating with process owners, ensuring data privacy and security, mentoring junior engineers, and occasional travel (10%) to client sites or conferences.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Architect, build, and deliver complex AI agents and automation workflows tailored for medical imaging, business operations and healthcare analytics.
  • Lead development of generative AI models (e.g., fine‑tuned large language models, diffusion models) and integration with emerging AI APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT‑4, Google Gemini).
  • Deploy models within production environments across cloud‑native and edge platforms.
  • Integrate AI‑driven solutions with EMR/EHR systems, PACS, clinical workflows, and modern data infrastructure.
  • Provide senior technical consulting, bridging AI capabilities and clinical needs; ensure handoff and support readiness.
  • Integrate AI tools into existing business systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with process owners to understand task logic and data flows.
  • Ensure security, data privacy, and human‑in‑the‑loop review where needed.
  • Maintain and document AI systems for stability and reproducibility.
  • Mentor mid‑level and junior engineers, promoting clean coding, Dev Ops best practices, and responsible AI.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or equivalent experience.

Experience & Knowledge Required
  • 8+ years total experience—including 5+ years in AI/ML engineering and 3+ years in client‑facing or consulting roles.
  • Demonstrated deployment of generative AI models in production (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, LLMs, Stable Diffusion).
  • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, Git Lab CI).
  • Strong programming skills (Python required; JS, R or similar a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to clinical/operational teams.
  • Willingness to travel ~10% to client sites and conferences.
