rident Consulting is seeking an "Outside Sales Executive – Restaurant & SMB Growth" for one of our direct clients. The client is a global leader in business and technology services.
Location:Peru, IL / Birmingham, AL / Jackson, MS / Columbus, OH / Spokane, WA / Greenville, SC Pay rate: $29/hr. on W2 + Commission Contract : 3+ Months (Extension Possible) Location Requirement
- Candidates must reside within 40 minutes of above locations
- Extensive travel required (minimum 50% travel)
- Majority of travel within 2 hours of hired city
- May include overnight stays and extended travel days (6–7 hours driving or flights)
- All travel expenses covered by the company
- Travel compliance will be monitored
- Fixed pay rate: $29/hour
- Additional monthly commission
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $1,750/month
- Uncapped commission structure
- Commission details will be explained by the hiring manager during the interview
- We are seeking an Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) – Emerging Markets to join the Outside Sales team.
- This role is responsible for driving new business acquisition within assigned emerging markets, primarily rural and untapped territories. The aGML will focus on building partnerships with local and regional restaurants through face-to-face sales engagement.
- This is a field-based sales role
, where most transactions are conducted in person.
- Travel to emerging markets to expand the company’s footprint
- Identify and win new restaurant partnerships within assigned geography
- Conduct high-volume, face-to-face sales meetings with restaurant owners
- Pitch and demonstrate the value proposition of partnering with Door Dash
- Negotiate revenue share agreements and close new business
- Manage a largely transactional deal cycle and close deals quickly
- Collaborate closely with Regional Sales Managers
- Utilize company-provided sales tools (sales sheets, business cards, promotional materials, etc.)
- Develop scalable sales strategies and playbooks for long-term market success
- Maintain accurate documentation of activities and performance metrics
- 2.5+ years of successful sales experience in a closing role
- Proven track record of selling to SMB clients
- Preferred experience selling to:
- Restaurants
- Food & Beverage businesses
- Hospitality sector
- Comfortable with both inside and outside sales tactics
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently (50%+)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to build territory strategy
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, transactional sales cycles
- Experience selling to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs)
- Background in restaurant or food & beverage sales strongly preferred
- Self-motivated, independent, and results-driven
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working in rural and emerging markets
