Sales Representative, Business Development, Industrial Sales
OXARC has been providing welding and industrial supplies, as well as, medical and specialty gases since 1968. OXARC is headquartered in Spokane, Washington with 23 stores in WA, OR.
Job SummaryMarket, sell, and service OXARC industrial products. Direct activities to achieve goals established for the assigned territory. Organize activities to gain highest possible sales volume, profitability and market share within assigned territory.
Duties Include- Call on prospective customers and establish buying cycles, customer needs, and create a customer/supplier relationship in designated areas. Problem solve/trouble shoot customers issues and problems. Customer deliveries as required.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations in a professional and effective manner, including developing technical presentations for potential customers.
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of latest products and their applications, company activities, industry trends & government regulations. Demonstrate and promote new products.
- Establish sales goals with Industrial Sales Manager. Manage existing accounts and increase market share according to established goals.
- Assist inside sales force and support staff as related to sales responsibilities.
- Complete required paperwork in a detailed and timely manner.
- Commit to high performance through outstanding attendance and overall dependable work habits.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal regulations and laws.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least two years previous sales experience preferred.
- Three to five years industry experience preferred. Additional experience may be substituted for education requirement.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills to respond to clients and customers.
- Demonstrated negotiation and closing techniques.
- Strong analysis and judgment skills. Understanding of welding and safety terminology and equipment.
- Able to travel at least 50% of the time.
- Experience with Microsoft Office -- including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
- Requires the ability to work independently, use own initiative and make decisions.
- Valid Driver's License with good driving record and provide proof of insurability and maintain required automobile insurance.
- Must pass drug screen and background check.
- Salary Range:
The salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary for this position which is $75,000/ann.
-$90,000/ann.
--DOE (depending on experience).
OXARC offers a competitive salary and benefit package -- full time employees enjoy medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage with two deductible plans to choose from for employee and family, company paid life insurance ($50,000), 401(k) with company match, and employee discount. Paid time off includes 8 paid holidays per year, vacation is prorated based on hire date and employees are eligible to use vacation effective January after hire date, sick leave accrues at 1 hour for every 40 worked, jury duty (up to 30 days), and bereavement leave.
Clothing allowance program. Voluntary benefit options include life, and AD&D insurance. Employees are eligible for most benefits on the first of the month following 90 days of employment. However, some benefits have different qualifying periods. Medical, dental, vision and prescription insurance is effective on the 1st of the month following hire date.
