As Kitchen Leader, you will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You are responsible for making sure our food is absolutely delicious. You’ll order the food and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders.

Throughout the day, the Kitchen Leader ensures the quality and safety of Chipotle’s food. They maintain a clean, organized kitchen, keep equipment in good condition, model teamwork, and create a great customer experience. While on the clock, Kitchen Leaders are busy on their feet, accomplishing station goals, and pitching in to help teammates.

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, following kitchen procedures
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues
• Support a strong team dynamic between back‑of‑house Crew and front‑of‑house Crew
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders
• Communicate with Crew members customers effectively to ensure great service and throughput
• Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair malfunctioning equipment quickly
• Ensure the kitchen and all Crew members meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents
• Fill out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Inventory Rotation (FIFO)

• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy
• Knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
• High school diploma
• Restaurant experience

Base pay range: $18.40–$20.46 per hour. Actual base pay may vary based on skill level, experience, and/or education. In addition to base pay, Chipotle offers a competitive benefits package. For more details, visit Chipotle Benefits.
