Job Details
• Dialysis unit within a 388-bed Level III trauma center with 4 dialysis bays,
• Patient population includes AKI, ESRD, fluid overload, electrolyte imbalance, sepsis, post-op, and critically ill ICU patients requiring intermittent dialysis,
• Average daily department volume of 8-13 patients,
• 10-hour day shifts with a 0700 start time,
• 40 hours per week,
• Potential every-other-weekend rotation,
• Shared on-call responsibilities; frequency determined by census and emergent dialysis needs,
• Floating to inpatient units in a helping-hands capacity when dialysis volume is low,
• EMR:
Epic,
Job Requirements
• Active WA or Compact RN license required,
• BLS required; ACLS preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient dialysis experience preferred; a mix of inpatient and outpatient experience considered if the majority is inpatient,
• Independent operation of hemodialysis treatments required, including accessing AV fistulas and grafts, managing dialysis catheters, anticoagulation management, fluid removal, and hemodynamic monitoring,
• Ability to troubleshoot dialysis equipment alarms,
• Experience with TABLO dialysis machines preferred,
• No CRRT experience required,
• At least 2 professional references from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or equivalent) required prior to start; 1 reference accepted at time of consideration,
